a bit, did it?
Not yet.
It's official. I'm 50. The big 5-0. It hurts to hear, though. I don't know what I associate with 50 that makes it seem so bad. I do remember asking my grandmother how old she was. I remember that she said she was 50. I thought that was SO old. I was about 7 mind you. Double digits could sound old. Being 50 myself seemed a million years off. It was unimaginable at 7. Right now, what I can't imagine is having a 7 year old grandchild!!
We celebrated the day last Saturday with dinner out at a local Japanese Restaurant. The chef cooked for the family right in front of us. Sorry, no pictures. Then we had some presents and watched Elf. I love Christmas movies so that was nice.
My new bag, while not the same color, reminds me of one of my all time favorite children's books.
I loved checking this book out of the library for Buttercup when she was little. It's about a little girl with an old pocketbook, given to her by either her mother or her grandmother, and the adventure she has with it while out running errands with her mother. It's cute.
So, another year older and another day down. 21 to go.
