Oh, Happy Day!

This very cute little guy turned 18 today.  Amazing.  His first year was spent in more doctor's offices and hospital beds then most of us see in the first 50 years of our lives.... but look at him now!

Once you get past the bad photo cropping.... it's a real learning process and I'm learning on the go.... you'll see just how grown up he is.  Wonder how much longer I can call him The Boy Wonder.  I'm so lucky to have him as my son.

Take a minute to look at the previous post and let me know what you think about the napkins.  I've refolded them making them taller and narrower but with another swoop across the middle.  I'm still undecided about giving the mismatched set.

The Queen Bee

  1. Oh my goodness, what a handsome young man! And you know that I think EVERYONE looks even better in a XC uniform...I love the way his little leg is crossed in the baby picture. Wish him a happy birthday for me!

I think that mismatched napkins can be kind of tricky. Personally, I love mismatched napkins (and glassware and plates and cups) etc at a table. I think it looks cool. Shabby-chic like. But not everyone likes that and you can never go wrong with a matched set.

  2. And by the way, my comment word verification was:

    Haaaaaaa, hahahahahaha!

  3. I love some of the comment verification words. We need to keep track of the best ones.

I think a matched set might be best as gifts. Just depends on your target audience I guess. It's a cute idea.

  4. They sure do grow up quickly, don't they!? He is such a handsome guy--hope his birthday is very special!

I guess I would try to go with matching napkins if possible, but that is just me. I like everything orderly and symmetrical (well, I am a librarian after all!)... Very cute folding idea--would you like to whip up 23 of them for my Thanksgiving dinner :)
