As the days speed by.

I almost forgot I was supposed to be posting today!  Aside from busy days...we are not getting over our jet lag very quickly.  I am up way too early each day and either need to nap so I can manage whatever evening activities are on the calendar or can't stay awake much past supper time.  I sure hope we sort it all out very soon.

I am slowly sorting the souvenirs and finding places to display the few items that are not Christmas tree ornaments.

This was one of my favorite finds.



It is made from wood from the Black Forest which is in Germany.  The pieces slip back in flush with the background. Everything is sanded satiny smooth.  I find the simplicity the most pleasing feature.

    I've only recently found your blog, and it's such a pleasure to read your recent posts. I was able to spend last Christmas in Germany and the Christmas Markets were wonderful. Your posts are bringing back a lot of happy memories!

    This is such a neat piece. The wooden decorations you can find in the markets are fantastic.
