Celtic Mystery update

Today is less about getting ready for Christmas, although there was a whole bunch of Cyber Monday-ing going on, and more about having a post ready for the link up with Bonnie Hunger's mystery.

My sad pitiful start won't be as good as other people's but it was a very busy weekend.

I managed to get all the parts cut.  The blue pieces are in 2 separate boxes as they represent lefts and rights to be attached to the orange and cream triangles.  I only have 2 finished squares and that's only because I worked up a couple samples to be sure I was cutting correctly.

I do have  one triangle attached to about 1/2 of the orange triangles.  One afternoon at my machine with some chain piecing and squaring up at the cutting mat will finish these up.  I should be able to have them done before the next step comes on Friday.

My halls are very un-decorated.  That too should be under control within a couple days.

23 days and counting.

  1. It's not a race. Enjoy the journey!! My halls are undecorated too. ;-)

  2. Halls? Decorated? hmm... At least you're thinking about decorating the halls, and you should get points for that. It looks like your off to a good start with Bonnie's mystery, as well.

  3. While I'm not a quilter, it looks like you are making great progress, Pam.
As far as my halls go...it's daunting to get it all from the attic and cellar....but this week the trek will begin!

  4. You're doing better than I am. I've done 31 of each combo. I cut some more blue last night but that's it. I just realized tomorrow is Friday and another clue! Oh, dear, I'm behind already. Last year I was able to keep up until the clue before Christmas.
