Day 2.

A big part of getting ready for the big day is baking.

I have not started that but I did make a batch of cookies to take to a lunch.

I saw these chips in the holiday baking section of a local grocery store and thought I'd give them a try. (The Pumpkin Spice chips...not the Butterscotch chips.)

I did not find the recipes on the back appealing, though.  One was for Pumpkin Spice Molasses Cookies and the other was for Pumpkin Spice Blondie Cookie Bars.  So, I got out my package of butterscotch chips and used the recipe for Oatmeal Scotchies.

I would call Oatmeal Scotchies my 'go to' cookies so I always have a package of chips in the cupboard.

I have almost enough cookie sheets to hold all the dough.  There are two in the oven but I needed to refill those to complete the batch.

My husband does not like pumpkin so he was so disappointed when he came through the kitchen and saw this.

A few Hershey Kisses and a cute cookie plate and I was off to my dish-to-pass lunch.

So delicious.  Someone accused me of putting something addictive in the recipe!  Guess I better stock up because I'm pretty sure these are a seasonal item.

23 days remaining.

  1. Yum! My mom & I did our Christmas baking last week... Last year we started using parchment paper on our cookie sheets when baking ~ what a lifesaver! No more greasy cookie sheets to clean ;)
