December 1, 2014

Let's count it down again.

I've always liked Advent calendars and last year it was fun blogging through the month of December so why not do it again?

Today's post needs to be my weekly post during Bonnie Hunter's mystery, though, so I can link to her blog.  Aside from the fact that this annual mystery happens between Thanksgiving and New Year's it doesn't really have anything to do with Christmas.

First step...make 280 half square triangles and pair 200 of them with either a yellow or a black square.

Combine the two sets to create blocks that look like this...

Make 200 blocks and set aside the remaining 80 half square units.

While I am on track with this clue.  I will fall right off the schedule 'wagon' next week since I'll be away over the weekend.

All the same, it's nice to be off to a good start. Head over to here to see how other quilters are making out.

Off for some Cyber Monday shopping.  24 days to go...feels like plenty of time.

  1. It doesn't take much to fall off the wagon with this one, but as long as it gets done in the end that is okay! Looking good on clue one!
